Canada Crookneck Winter Squash Seeds

$4.50

Availability: 10 in stock

A heritage squash that is an ancestor of the Butternut, its shape varies from straight to very curved. Its sweet taste is much more interesting than Butternut: it has its place in Slow Food’s Ark of Taste. It is excellent in soup or cubes once it has had the opportunity to age a little after harvest.

The plant takes some time to grow well compared to other squash, but is still productive. 100 days to maturity

Instructions Plant directly in the garden when there is no longer a risk of frost. Put 2-3 seeds per mound, spaced a few feet apart. Squash also needs a lot of space to spread. It is also possible to start seedlings 2 or 3 weeks in advance indoor, but transplantation is usually difficult.
