BON APPÉTIT
Our passion for food and what you can expect when staying here

BREAKFAST

We are passionate about good food. We also subscribe to our mothers’ belief that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. We want that meal to be relaxed, memorable and truly the most perfect start to a day where time seems to stand still, with minutes turning into hours.

DAILY FROM 8AM

Guests can spend one or three hours under the welcome morning sun indulging in a feast of freshly baked pastries, fruit, yoghurt, and cereals topped off with home cooked preserves and our own honey…

A PROPER CUP OF…

We love our coffee and our tea is great… Start the day with endless supplies of freshly ground coffee or sample our vast range of Mariage Frères and Kusmi teas - we've got something for everyone.

LOCAL & FRESH

We are extremely fortunate to live in an area that has not only excellent local produce but also excellent suppliers. We take a great pride in provenance and hope to share our knowledge and special finds with you.

Breakfast at Sentiers Perdus

FROM OUR VERY OWN VALLEY

We want our guests to leave loving the valley and the local area as much as we do. Local villages and towns offer a wealth of great eateries where you can indulge still further over a long leisurely lunch. For those keen to explore the remote paths of the surrounding valleys and spectacular gorges, whether in the car, on foot, horseback or by bicycle, let us know your plans the day before and we can provide you with a picnic.

The View Across Our Valley

Cooking is slow in France, the food you experience will be in season, so those of you looking for strawberries in December will be disappointed.

Something for later in the day

DINNER

Our passion for food is such that we don’t want to compromise in any way on the quality and what we offer. We cook using local produce as much as possible and offer spectacular three course evening meals twice a week on Saturdays and Wednesdays, our local market days.

EATING WITH US

For those guests staying with us on those days they can choose to eat with us and perhaps engage in a cookery skills day prior to the evening meal, helping plan, prepare and cook in our state of the art Bulthaup kitchen all washed down, of course, with a glass or two of wine.

On those lazy days as the sun sets we can provide a selection of tapas and wine for you to indulge in whilst enjoying the valley

slipping into dusk. Stay longer on the terrace and watch the stars come out.

Those keen to explore the night time sky can spend the evening tucked up in a chair on the terrace using our telescope to spot the stars. Feeling a little cool after a hot day but not wanting to yet go in? No problem, we have ample wool blankets to keep out the chill and a chimenea to keep extra toasty.
