A small sweet winter squash with a fairly long shelf life, one of my favorites for a quick meal: just cut in half, brush a little oil and put in the oven. The seeds are also good roasted in oil with some spices.
The plant expands quickly and produces a good number of small squash. 95 days to maturity.
Instructions | Plant directly in the garden when there is no longer a risk of frost. Put 2-3 seeds per mound, spaced a few feet apart. Squash also needs a lot of space to spread. It is also possible to start seedlings 2 or 3 weeks in advance indoor, but transplantation is usually difficult. |
